Anniversary #3

Many of you know my wonderful wife, Elizabeth. Today is our 3rd anniversary. I always tell people that are getting married that MY wedding day was the best day of my life . . . until everyday since then! Elizabeth is my best friend, kindred spirit, and true soul mate. I am so thankful to be married to her. There’s no greater blessing in my life.

Did I mention, how understanding she is? Check out this if there is any question in your mind. Not only has she supported me in my efforts to start this business, she has pulled so much of the load herself. She’s kid wrangler, 2nd camera, chief editor, marketing consultant, CFO, and my best sounding board! The thing is, she just get’s it. When it comes to the big picture vision for this business, we’re on exactly the same page.

Elizabeth, I thank God for you every day. I pray He blesses us with many more wonderful years together! I love you!

Debute of our new website!

If you’ve made it to this blog, you’ve probably noticed by now that we have a new and improved website! Thanks to the folks at BluDomain for their help. Also, thanks to my sister Brodie for patiently teaching me how to create the last site. It served us well for a year and a half, but it was time for a new look! Let us know what you think! We’d love to hear your feedback!

Breathe of Life 2006

I want to bring something to your attention. Tonight is the annual Breath of Life Gala at the Hyatt in downtown Minneapolis. This event is put on in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited disease that affects about 30,000 Americans. It produces a lot of thick sticky mucus in the lungs of it’s victims that can cause life threatening lung infections, and other effects too. In the 1950′s, most children afflicted with this disease didn’t make it to school age, but today people can expect to live into their 30s and 40s. The CFF is dedicated to research and development of treatments and a cure for this disease.

This little business of ours is all about children, and we’re proud to support organizations such as CFF. While our silent auction item is just a small part, we’re proud to support organizations that support our children.

I sent an email to one of our customers asking if I could use their portrait for display at the event. She wrote back, “we absolutely have no problem with you using our photos. Whatever it takes to find a cure for those kids!!” Thanks to Jim, Philippa, and Keeli for your support of CFF!
